Things happen quickly today. Life can feel stressful and busy, busy, busy. It can be impossible to focus on one thing as your energy is splintered into many disparate tangents. Try to concentrate on the task at hand to avoid ending the day exhausted and frazzled.
This weeks randomly drawn card is the Ace of Swords. In the tarot deck an Ace is akin to a seed which contains the essence of the suit….in this case Swords, which represent ideas, the intellect and communication.
In this card we see a brilliant white sword which stands straight up, piercing the black of the night sky. This symbolises truth and clarity and can indicate that any hidden motives or agendas are about to be exposed, for better or worse.
The white lightening which zigzags across the sky represents those brief moments of illumination and insight when we suddenly see the truth of something, or experience a light-bulb moment. Although these revelations can come and go in a flash, what has been revealed can never be forgotten and remains an everlasting truth in our lives, symbolised by the rainbow coloured lemniscate coiled around the hilt of the sword.
The Ace of Swords also heralds the arrival of inspiration, new ideas and fresh perspectives. However at this stage the insight it brings is just pure potential and it is up to us to put in the work and focus to bring these embryonic beginnings to manifestation and fruition. The lightening in the card can be viewed as both dangerous and inspiring, reflecting the fact that sometimes new and exciting ideas can seem threatening in the way that they often shake up the status quo.
I hope that this week you receive some amazing insights and flashes of illumination which spark off new beginnings in your life! Let us know in the comments below if the Ace of Swords visits you over the upcoming week.
