The Ten of Swords often appears when we have reached rock bottom and the only way is up. Although the skies look heavy and grey with turbulent clouds in the foreground, if we look to the horizon we can see that there is a sliver of brightness beginning to form. This is our assurance that better times are coming.
Often the Ten of Swords can also be a melodramatic card. Perhaps we are overreacting to a situation and imagining it to be far worse than it actually is. There can be a sense of martyrdom or playing the victim when the Ten of Swords appears.
Sometimes though, this card can have a fairly literal meaning, and can indicate that there are people in your circle who may be backstabbing you. There is a real possibility that someone is not to be trusted and may be betraying your loyalty. Be aware that someone may be badmouthing you to further their own agenda, and keep this in mind in your interactions with others at this time. All may not be as it seems.
Whatever the actual interpretation of this card, as it pertains to your circumstances, it does come with an assurance that although some things may end at this time, with endings come new beginnings, rejuvenation and renewal. Don’t forget that when one door closes another one opens, and that often things happen for a reason for your souls growth and development. Although the Ten of Swords can look negative, ultimately it is a card of redemption and new beginnings.
Until next week,
