It looks like there is a decision to be made this week. However, it doesn’t matter how long we stare at a list of pros and cons, this approach isn’t going to yield the answers we are hoping for.
The swords represent two deeply entrenched views at odds with each other. This can be two individuals “crossing swords”, two ideologies which clash, or opposing and conflicting attitudes within ourselves. Whichever scenario, the swords are deeply rooted in the bedrock of the mountain, immovable and hard to reconcile.
However, the small plant in the foreground is a symbol of hope that a way through can be found. The plant has survived and thrived by being flexible. When it has come up against stony ground it has changed direction and grown around the obstacles placed in it’s path. By taking a meandering path instead of trying to force things, it has triumphed and survived the challenging terrain.
The ocean also symbolises the emotional and feeling realm. It suggests that simply trying to intellectualise, and come to a rational solution is not the answer here. This situation also requires us to feel our way through it, by engaging our heart and soul in the process too. By doing this we will find a way forward, as evidenced by the sun just starting to rise in the background of the picture.
Until next week,
