This is the second time this card has come up this week! It obviously has a pertinent message to impart. This time the symbol which grabs my attention is the beautiful golden sun emanating from the Third Eye area. This tells me that today it is vitally important to realise that all the answers and wisdom we need are already within us. All we need to do is quieten down our conscious mind so that we can access our innate intuition and gut feelings! Easier said than done in the busyness of day to day life where our existence is ruled by deadlines, pressure and constant striving to achieve. So today take just ten minutes to come back to yourself by closing your eyes, taking a few deep breaths and reconnecting with the wisdom of your heart. It might be the best thing you do today!
Today may feel like a long, hard slog. It’s as if you can’t see the wood for the trees and everything is weighing heavily upon your shoulders. Maybe you’ve become a victim of your own success, and tasks which you used to enjoy and find satisfying are now becoming onerous and burdensome. Sometimes if you make a hobby into a career it can take all the fun and enjoyment out of it and add unneeded pressure. Today, see if you can do something purely for the joy of it to lift yourself out of the doldrums.
Today ugly secrets may be revealed involving deceit, lies and betrayal. This could be concerning a love triangle or ménage a trois where nobody escapes unscathed. It is also a possibility that the temptation to become involved in this kind of scenario may present itself. Think long and hard before becoming entangled as these situations rarely end well for anyone embroiled in them.
Today you may feel as if you are rising up out of a dark place back into the light. If life has been difficult and confusing now is the time to break free from entanglements which are holding you back. You are transforming personally and figuratively and now the only way is up. The darkest part of the night is just before the dawn.
The Daughter of Pentacles holds the energy of curious, alert exploration and discovery and keen instincts. She is sweet natured and kind and although she can be shy and watchful she has an alertness and curiosity which means she is constantly learning about the world around her….not in an intellectual or theoretical sense, but by hands on experience.
This young fawn has much to learn and discover about life, but she is keen to get stuck in. She uses the power of trial and error to experiment with what works and what doesn’t.
Accept where you are in your life and use the resources you’ve got. Where your current approach is working, keep it up! Take ownership of your own progress and development and assess areas where you need to build your skills and confidence further. The rainbow and pentacle towards the top of the card show the enormous potential for growth and development on the material plane.
The Daughter of Pentacles can also signify that a new start, new dreams and greater prosperity may be on the horizon. To draw in the perfect circumstances and opportunities to relaunch your life and bring new inspiration, enthusiasm and passion to a project or experience, it is important to make a plan, stay focused, and make it happen!
She could be described as a child of nature, and this may be a message that it is time to embrace the healing energy of the earth in your own life. Try to get outside and experience the wild, raw energy of the natural world and soak up the healing available when you recalibrate your life and get back in touch with your own sense of wildness.
As always with the tarot the energy of the Daughter of Pentacles could be an energy we need to develop within ourselves, or alternatively it may be that we will be exposed to these character traits within someone we come into contact with this week.
Today take some time out to just ‘be’. Sometimes we forget we are human beings and act more like human ‘doings’ as we rush around trying to cross things off our ever increasing to do list. So today try and make life a little easier on yourself…..scratch anything that isn’t strictly necessary and give yourself five minutes out of your busy day to close your eyes, breathe deeply, and get in touch with your inner voice. It may be that taking a brief timeout may inspire you with fresh insight or new creative ideas which will help make the rest of your day more productive.
Where are you being particularly hard on yourself today? Are you paying lip service to the idea of self forgiveness but failing to integrate this into the deepest levels of your psyche? We all make mistakes but there is no merit in holding onto guilt and shame. Learn the lesson, let it go, and move on.
Whatever you are called upon to do today, make sure you execute it with full focus and attention. This is not the time for multitasking, which will dilute your efforts. The best results are achieved with concentration on the task at hand and unswerving attention to detail. Remember the adage that if a job is worth doing…..it’s worth doing well.
