wild {unknown} friday

The randomly drawn card for the upcoming week is Death, which on first impressions can appear to be a very scary prospect indeed! However, please don’t be alarmed as this card can also signify much more positive occurrences.

Although the Death card may herald big changes, often unexpected, and may feel as though we are all caught up in the path of events we cannot escape, ultimately it can usher in new ways of being and new possibilities which could never have been envisioned before this cataclysmic, life changing chapter unfolded. These types of major turning points and times of reckoning also give an amazing opportunity for renewal and transformation.

Of course many of us may not have chosen for this situation to occur, but out of this ending can emerge a new beginning…..bigger and better than before, and give birth to something more valuable and powerful. Exercising our creative imaginations will allow us to visualise new possibilities.

During this period of transition  it can be difficult to see in which way the jigsaw puzzle is going to fit back together, but soon new constructive patterns will begin to emerge. We are given an opportunity to take a step back before moving forward in our quest to build a better, stronger and more resilient global community.
Out of such profound change will hopefully be born a new paradigm of strength and determination to ensure that what comes next is an improved, inclusive and more positive version of consensus reality.

wild {unknown} friday

This weeks card is from the Gaian Tarot, and depicts a washed up, broken down, wreck of a boat. It looks as if it found it’s final resting place many moons ago, and has, over time become one with the natural environment. It’s rotting wood has become the home for insects, birds and animals. Beautiful flowers and verdant greenery have taken nourishment from it’s decomposing carcass and are growing in abundant profusion in and around it. Looking out, beyond the boat, the sea is calm and sparkling, with no hint of the stormy waters which caused the boat to run aground.
This card is a metaphor for the end of an era. It is time to move on and look to the future, which looks bright with promise and abundance. Leave behind what no longer serves you, and breathe a sigh of relief to set yourself free from what has been keeping you trapped and stuck in life. See the bigger picture, like the eagle which soars overhead, and know that it is for the best. Feel transformed and light like the butterflies which dance and flutter amongst the newly opening flowers.
Until next week,
Caro Tarot💛

Daily Card ~ Death

What needs to die away today in order to make space for something new? Perhaps your life has become cluttered with too much stuff, whether that is physical, spiritual, digital, or even relationships which bog you down and mire you in extraneous and superfluous complication. Try pruning back some of these distractions and living more simply. We actually need very little, and often all the ‘stuff’ which we aquire can simply weigh us down with extra responsibility which we would be happier without.

Daily Draw – Death

The Death card can be quite scary, particularly in some Tarot decks where it is depicted as a Grim Reaper type character with all the associations that comes with. In The Wild Unknown the card depicts a skeletal bird which seems to float like a spectre or ghost. There are still a few feathers remaining on it’s bleached white bones. Whenever I look at this card however, the feathers always look more like leaves or ferns which are starting to sprout from the dead bird. To me this speaks of the true meaning of this card which is about a metaphorical death and rebirth. Often we have to let go of something that is no longer serving us in order to allow new and fresh opportunities to come to us. This can be a scary thing to do, but once a situation has irretrievably died sometimes the only way forward is to face up to this, let go, and move forward into the new.
